The max length for non-IDN domains is 63.
There are 63 characters allowed in these domains:
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
and -
There are 63! Possible combinations of 63-distinct-character domains. One example is
YMfIHcoStbLKkvORZiTWwanQr-mlhXzJgFuUPeCdyxqNjBpGAEDsV.com

How many easy-to-read domains of this type are there?
There's the option of finding 2 groups of words (perhaps the same) each using every alphabet letter once, and putting a hyphen between them. A quick google search yielded a lot of pangrams above 26 letters, but minus the sentence condition it should be possible.
There's also the option of keeping the natural alphabet structure and number ordering:
0123456789-abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.com
0123456789-AaBbCcDdEeFfGgHhIiJjKkLlMmNnOoPpQqRrSsTtUuVvWwXxYyZz.com
abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz-ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789.com
and a few others (english alphabet)

Are these domains worth anything to collectors? I think yes. 63-letter domains selling isn't as uncommon as it might sound, and often its for their unique aesthetic quality. 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999.com is an example I read about recently in a thread here on NamePros.
A flaw of 63-distinct-character domains is the loss of capitals in the address bar. However, only some of the meaning is lost. 0123456789-aabbccddeeffgghhiijjkkllmmnnooppqqrrssttuuvvwwxxyyzz.com is still a very meaningful url and the format speaks for itself. Furthermore, no information is lost in links and in writing.

These domains may look absurd, but their number is low and each one shows the very limit of what's possible in a domain name.
