I checked other TLDs before buying it - they are merchandise sites and parked domains (as are some of the domains without the hyphen). I bought the domain after it had dropped. So it had been available for her, or her representatives, to register. My actual intention is to setup a fansite, but if somebody is prepared to offer me a lot of money for the domain name then I can revert to using a different domain name that doesn't include the letters "carey".
