no reply,s well i live in perth (aussie) and there is a site called www.perthbands.com and its rated at 83,000 alexa ranking ? they have got quite a few links , so why cant i use that as a model to develop www.manilabands.com ? any thoughts out there ?

Being from that part of the world, I would say that this has potential. Filipinos are music lovers! Great for talent search, forums or blogs like you mentioned.

A niche site, but can be marketed. This is the challenge. Try to market to promote using Manila-based media like abscbn, inq7, gma, etc. Or try to contact to philmusic.com and see how they can help.
