Making Ribbons Permanent

A while back I read some suggestions by NP members about making the ribbons permanent and not expire. Any feedback on this suggestion yet? If the reason for holding this back is because of the fear that certain members have too many ribbons, hence taking up too much screen space, then NP could set default to display a number of max ribbons, say 50 or 100 ribbons chosen by the member himself. And if anybody is interested to view the entire collection of ribbon, then just click on his profile and select "View Ribbons" the same way we select "Send PM"

As you said, making them perminent would mean that we would have huge lists of ribons. I think making them expire after a year, means the user has to re-donate if they wish to keep the ribon, which means they are donating to charity which I am all for.

IMHO the current 1 year expiry is good because it prompts members to donate continuously, and not just once.
