Hey, I was looking around for some good mail domains, then I was at registerfly and I was looking at their new extensions (personaly I didnt like them) but then I searched for Mail.mp3 and thought that would be quite a good domain to have, especialy a [email protected]. The term mp3 mail brings up like 4,120,000 sites. so it cant be that bad.

Anyway the domain I would like appraised is: mail.mp3

Sure it would look good. But if you use it for real, be prepared to lose more than 90% of your incoming mail! Unless new.net is smart enough to route all email messages properly - does anyone know if this is the case?

Could not imagine that the e-mail could be routed as when a mail server looks for the domain 99% will not recognise the new.net extensions.

So it will not be able to resolve as to where the mail is to be delivered to.

Not 100% sure but think that mail would only work if your ISP ( or server you are using to send mail ) has the special records added.

All the best

Richard
PS
I think that 90% is a bit of a generous estimate of how much you would loose :)

Thanks Richard. I knew it was a fairly large number, but was too lazy to actually look it up, so settled for a safe 'greater than 90%' number. :)

IMO waste of money

:(

I doubt this domain is even worth Reg.Fee. Sorry.
