Magician.com and more!

Hello everyone,

I've owned several excellent domain names for some time, but have not posted them for feedback in a forum like this! If you have any thoughts on value or other for these domains, please let me know! I look forward to your posts! Have a great day,

Magician.com
Magicians.com
Illusionist.com
MagicComedian.com

Here's another fun domain:
WebSupport.com (sold at RoundTable) -> reported at dnjournal.com.

Thanks much!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
.US domains.US domains
They look great!

I can see them in the low $xx,xxx range at least except MagicComedian.com

WebSupport.com is a true gem in my opinion and could fetch even more.

Good luck!

They are all domains that are very valuable. Each could fetch more than mid XX,XXX IMHO.

Welcome to Namepros; another first-time poster with some killer names.

The magicComedian thing is still, IMO, reg fee as there are a ton of comparable names still available and this one is long, there are multiple versions I can think of available, and easy to typo.

The other names are big.
Magician/s.com
Illusionist.com -- are quite valuable due to there being so much interest from the entertainment world. If you approach the right tv/film end users the sky is really the limit with these ones. To make a sober appraisal, I'd say
resellers = 30 - 50K
end users = there's a large spread here; if it's slow and they're just not THAT interested, maybe in the mid to high xx,xxx range.
But really, if you know what you're doing (and you do, if you own these names :) ), you'll be getting well into the low xxx,xxx for each name.

WebSupport.com -- is the biggest name here. You're dealing with massive companies, and the name describes a massive service, and any internet company who provides help, of any kind, would love this. I'd appraise a huge, huge spread according to just who you can interest, but an absolute minimum of 500K and possibly a few times that amount.

Nice names, have fun. You must have a bunch more beauties tucked away so we'll look forward to seeing them.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Magician might be a good name for a next-gen handheld...insinuating it can do anything. :) Great names, definitely good that you have both singular and plural of Magician. I think as a pair you can get 6 figures easy for those.

Quality. The first two must be in the 100k range.

David Copperfield

Get in touch with the end user yourself. Terrific names. Over $100k for magician or I'd keep it.

Would you take a good women, 2 hogs and some nice fishing poles for em?

I wish I had one of those names. Are you interested in my first born child?

Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the feedback... I guess I'm not surprised by your enthusiasm for the magic domains, but am for your interest in websupport.com. I actually would have valued magician/s.com higher than websupport.com.

I actually am working on a lease agreement right now for illusionist.com.

By the way, an interesting 'once upon a time' story... I hand registered fantasyfootball.com in '96 without knowing what I was getting myself into (I was only 18!)... ESPN, CBS and others immediately contacted me wanting the domain... To keep a long story short, I sold it, paid off a few bills, but nowhere near what the domain would sell for today! Lesson learned. Still have fantasyfootball.org if anyone is interested!

Anybody else happen to have any other comments on the value of the domains I posted above... or own any entertainment/magic/comedy/ themed domains?

Thanks,
ROMM

Ouch...that's an absolutely huge industry now...you'd probably get 7 figures at least from any of those companies today.

I have no idea on the value of thes names as I odn't work with domains worth that much, but websupport is just incredible!

Great names, I would say they are worth low-mid $xx,xxx each.

Too bad on FantasyFootball.com though, that is one of the few I would have agreed would have been worth in the $x,xxx, xxx range.

Best of luck to you!

I've never seen domains this valuable before...but I am a nub...very, very nice. I'm humbled to even post here. I was only 16 in 1996...just learning to drive. :)

Great names, value can rise to a 'magic' number.

David Copperfield eat your heart out

Magician.com x,xxx,xxx +
Magicians.com & Illusionist.com mid to high xxx,xxx
MagicComedian.com isn't in this league x,xxx - xx,xxx

WebSupport.com x,xxx,xxx ++

Serious quality here

Although these are exceptional domains, I wouldn't value them as much as the above post. All together you would be looking at around the $500,000 mark.

Strategy and Appraisal to sell both Magician.com and Magicians.com

Hi all,

I wanted to open this discussion up again and hopefully get everyone's thoughts on the following:

What is your appraisal today for both Magician.com and Magicians.com? And what would your strategy be in selling and/or developing these domains? Owning both the singular and plural of the same word creates a unique challenge. The simple choice would be to sell both as a pair.

What other examples exist on the web where a company purchased the plural or singular domain to complete their branding strategy?

Thanks all... I appreciate your consideration with this post!

Book.com as well as Books.com redirect to BarnesAndNoble.com, so apparently, they bought both the singular as well as the plural.

As a pair, I would put their value between 60-80k
I'd really suggest you get a broker for these names. It would be hard to sell them without one. You can post in the "Brokers Wanted Section" at DNF.

But man...FantasyFootball.com...that would make a killing today
