Magento Hosts?

What web hosts might be good for Magento? As this scripts is rather heavy, I think web servers should be specially optimized for it, say on 1&1 and godaddy magento takes like 15 seconds to load. Need a host with a faster loading speed.
Anyone using Simplehelix.com with Magento running on the site? I heard they are one of the fastest in this niche. Would be good to hear your feedback.

1&1 and GoDaddy are both awful for PHP/MySQL scripts, hence would explain that. However *most* hosts should be able to run this okay.

I think that it s great use what the application developer offers. But they might have hidden affiliate based relationships

i figured it's best to suggest these coming from the developer since it's the first place they know their software and if software developer has in-house hosting better grab it, they assure uptime and reliability of it but I guarantee it's gonna be expensive.

SimpleHelix.com has provided the latest version of Magento (1.0.19870). This updated version is the fastest one. Ha sanybody used it? What other ecommerces do you use?

I have tried SimpleHelix.com download file (http://www.simplehelix.com/stest/35m.tar.gz) and I was surprised indeed how fast their Magento software downloaded!

What are the serious advantages of Magento over other e-commerce solutions? The serious minus is the load speed, why not check Miva or Zen, Oscommerce, I guess you'll be able to get more webhosting providers offering these, citexhosting.com, mmhosting.com, bluehost.com are all ecommerce providers.
