Wondering what you guys thought of Mad Script

Layout, logo, colors, and most important: the way the categories are placed, etc.

Thoughts? :)

Looks nice and simple.

I think you should put some space between the navigation and categories tohugh.

Site: MadScript.com

Up's
» The Very Nice Design, Very Very Clean.
» Another Organized/categorized Tutorials. ^_^

Down's
» Please and Install a forum: http://madscript.com/forum/ ^_^
» I dont know that you offer ' Graphic Tutorial' into a 'Script' site. You should have a domain like: MadTutorials, or Mad-Tutorials.. or even Mad Articles.
» The logo on the banner [ the M ]. is a pixel one, use/change the font into a better one.
» The Partners section should have atleast 1 banner/link, so members/visitors can say that your site really is active.

Thank You,
- Janine

Site review

Hi. First of all, the template looks good to me. Good job on that. Second, you need a forum installed as you linked it in the navigation. Third, you need to redesign the logo a bit (the top one).

The template colours are good, font is also good.

Good luck with your site!

If you liked my review and comments, please add rep for me.

Regards.

I'm going to disagree with the majority opinion here. I am a web developer by trait, but I dabble in Photoshop quite a bit. I disagree that the top logo is bad. It seems like 'FixedSys' style text, and if this is what you were going for, I like it.

The site overall has a really good color scheme and seems really clean.

I would suggest maybe trying some dynamic html drop down menu action like the new slashdot.org has for your categories on the left.

Finally, adding a fav icon (probably your logo 'M') would be good! Here is the code to do it:

Code:
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
this gets put into the <head> of a site.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the comments! I will install a forum soon, that is my last thing to do. Yeah, I know, it's more "article/tutorial" than script. I'm not sure if I should switch domains...

I like that slashdot idea, I may work into that. :) As well thanks for the tip on the favicon!

Keep the tips coming guys!

To be honest on first glance it's like "WOAH!" too much to take in at once!

I think the left navigation is too big for starters.
