Mac users: whois tool

just rambling here...

Hard to believe I have been domaining and webmastering altogether for more than 2 years and only now did I discover Network Utility on my Mac....

It's got a massively fast whois, also lookup, finger, ping, port scan, trace route, and all sorts of very useful utilities in one neat package...

Just in case there's anothe mac user here that hasn't noticed it.

applications-->utilities-->network utility

Now I have it on all the time..

Another great tool for webmasters is the digital color meter, which is also native to OSX, will tell you the hex code of any color on the screen instantly...i use it all the time to beautify my sites

Windows users take no offence, I run windows XP too, all the time on my mac in a, well, window (using parallels), I always check all my new website updates with safari and firefox on the Mac plus IE and Firefox on windows XP to make sure everybody has a nice experience

anyway, so network utility is great. anybody know of a similar tool for windows, for the benefit of win users?

Also I'd like to know if there are any mac users here that use a domain management software. I haven't found a good one yet

Great tool. I have it in my dock on 3 computers and use it daily.
