What is the copyright status of the lyrics included?

To legally host a lyric site you need licenses from a variety of organizations including but not limited to ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. Nearly every lyric site on the net is using the lyrics illegaly, and only a couple have been shut down (generally the real large ones). So purchase at your own risk, for an extremely detailed debate on the legality of lyrics, i would check out this sales thread of ilyric.net

They have bigger fish to fry really (Similar sort of case with online radios) - hardley any lyrics sites are shut down. It is your own risk but the person who owned this DB before me went 5 years without any troubles. I seriously doubt they'd try to shut you down unless you were making huge money.

Is anybody interested in the database? I just need to shift a copy or two to pay for some things.
