LxAdmin (The free control panel)

What do you think of the free control panel called LxAdmin - It uses a tiny amount of RAM and uses Lighttpd but can use Apache if required.

I find its very good for hosting personal clients as its free and easy to navigate, only thing is the interface of it isn't very good looking...

I'm not much on using it in truly serious business hosting environment, but beyond that I think it an excellent and reasonable choice for hosting friends, certain clients, and personal websites.

Agreed, people like and find cPanel & Plesk very easy to use and they tend to stick with what they know

It is a great little control panel, low cost to expand the 40 domain limit but as it isn't the industry standard and the look is rather old-style.

It is a great little control panel for personal management, but I wouldn't recommend it for resale.

Its nice for vps so the customers dont have to pay for a expensive cPanel client exec license for there vps. Its nice and fairly easy to use but people like the brand name.

You know any decent company offers some control panels to use for their customers - say Dayana Host offers cPanel and Say5.
But as for free control panels, I have never trusted them.

You as web hosting provider should follow the customers' needs. I suppose that ir right concern if youn would like top have cusuomers loyal. If they want cpanel - give them it

It's not bad I suppose, if it's free it allows you to free up some money and make hosting packages less expensive.
We use our proprietary panels on both shared and dedicated hosting, it allows our prgrammers to provide support from the first hands. And our clienst appreciate it.

I agree about it being a great option for VPS users.

LXadmin uses djbdns which is nice. No BIND holes to worry about.

If I am correct providers need to pay for the LxAdmin license. Although only a very small fee.

I know this is true with the HyperVM interface provided by the same company. You pay 50 cents per VPS which includes LxAdmin.
