Low-cost VPS Required

Hello,

I am currently looking for a VPS package to host the website and audio stream for an internet radio station. We are planning to use Icecast for streaming and are looking for a minimum of 200 concurrent users at 128kbps (if you are a shoutcast package provider please feel to post your offers of non-VPS systems also!).

The current system we have found capable of handling our requirements is set to cost $9 per month, so any offers will need to be below that point.

Please only post if you are certain your network can handle the large amount of bandwidth that 200 concurrent users incurs.

EDIT: As suggested by ~ServerPoint~ below, here is a base set of specifications for the VPS.

Disk Space: 5 GB
Data Transfer: 450 GB (minimum, more is preferable)
Memory: 128 MB
Operating System: CentOS or Debian
IP Addresses: 2 Dedicated IPs (1 required, 2 preferable)

Thanks for the reply Camron. The package specs are slightly lower than the ones we have currently been offered, though I am personally leaning towards your offer due to the fact that I have actually heard of the company in the past :D.

The overall purchasing decision doesn't come solely down to me, and I will have to get back to you on who we are going to host with.

As to whether the server itself could handle it when it comes to CPU/memory, I have found in the past that it uses very little resources until you come to the ultra-high listener counts. On a past project I worked on we did have up to 700 listeners on a server with below 256mb of RAM, with absolutely no issues.

To clarify something I was asked on another forum, I do understand that this is a very large request for the amount of money I am offering. I did not set this amount myself, rather it was set by the budget constraints we currently have (having spent over a thousand pounds on equipment and broadcast licensing, a high-end server is a bit out of reach).

If you have an offer that is close to but slightly higher than what we are requesting then please also post it here if you wish. All offers will be given serious consideration.

I think that you should to try to rephrase your request in the space/bandwidth and RAM. That would be easy to understand.
