I applied for around 1000 good names, paying 5 years advance registration + 12$ each processing fee to NET4India, the Co which boasts of being the largest .IN registrar. I paid 4500Rs. i.e. around USD 105.00 for each of the premium names to be registered at the instant when .IN registry opens on 16th at 1200hrs IST

Unfortunately, Net4India's scripts failed and could run only after a while... during that time, the initial few moments, DirectI got most of the domains. I was reluctant to deal with DirectI due to their poor service, and had chosen Net4India since I am their major reseller for 5-6 years. I was almost 100% confident with them. But luck didnot favour me at that time, and instead got just a hefty refund cheque from Net4India.
