I am looking for a US wow account with no or low level characters. Account must be working and unbanned.

I will pay $10-$15 or will trade for a guild wars account with 2 level 20 non PVP characters.

Selling, trading, or anyway distributing WoW accounts is against their TOS and subject to account termination.

Thread Reported.

I sold two on eBay. It's not illegal if done properly.

It's not illegal if done properly.

No, while technically its not illegal (the legalities of selling in-game items can be argued back and forth) it IS strictly against their TOS (Terms Of Service) and if you get caught, it will result in your account being terminated.

Well, I do not know anything really about WoW, but you might find this thread a bit funny if you Google "WoW accounts"

No it won't. If you word it properly, Blizzard can't touch you.

He dosent want to buy a wow account, he wants to buy the time invested in the wow account - which just happends the seller includes the user/password and sq/sa.

Check at www.markeedragon.com - Though buying the cdkey from www.shatteredcrystal.com ensures the account wont get recalled.

Its their game, and believe me they most certainly can touch you. Yes, i'm aware of all this "time invested" stuff, but I assure you that if a player is discovered to be using an account purchased or acquired in any way from another player then that account will be banned - turning around and saying "aha, but I paid for time invested" to the Blizzard GM's won't make a scrap of difference, the fact remains you will still be using an account which has been acquired from another person.

While simple wording can steer you clear of legal action, it will not save the recipient/buyer of the account when it comes to the repurcussions of breaking the Terms of Usage set out by Blizzard. These Terms of Usage specifically state that Blizzard do not recognise the transfer of accounts between individuals and any unauthorized transfer of accounts through any means will be considered a breach of the agreement and may result in your account being terminated.

Yes, a lot of people do it, yes, a lot get away with it, and unless you do something really stupid then you'll most likely get away with it too - i'm just tired of people who seem to think the "ingenius" use of stating they are buying the time invested will give them immunity from any repercussions whatsoever.

He knows what he is talking about, as do I.

Sure you can say that you are selling the "time invested" in the game, however it doesn't change the fact that you are transfering an account to someone else, a direct violation of the TOS.

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, you acknowledge and agree that you shall have no ownership or other property interest in the Account, and you further acknowledge and agree that all rights in and to the Account are and shall forever be owned by Blizzard Entertainment.

Blizzard Entertainment does not recognize the transfer of Accounts, and any authorized transfer of the World of Warcraft software (as set forth on the worldofwarcraft.com website) will result in the permanent deletion of the Account attached to that software. You may not offer any Account for sale or trade, and any such offer is a violation of this Agreement and may result in suspension or termination of the Account.
