services Looking for Feedback for Traffic Estimation Tool

Hi all,

I'm a relatively new domain investor (since March of 2024).

I've been taken with the idea of parking and monetization from almost day 1, and one of if not the biggest question I see get asked a bit is "is my domain good for parking". I'm often curious myself.

So I thought it would be cool to build a tool that lets you estimate the traffic to a site you own.

It's 100% free to use and you can check it out at:

But I'd really like feedback - it feels like it's missing a bit to be really useful, and so I'm hoping anyone who tries it will let me know what they find missing as I'm hoping to add more to this!

Does anyone really ask that question? Even if they do, are you sure they talk about traffic?

Anyone that owns a domain they can easily use analytics to check their traffic or just add it to a parking service to check whether they can earn revenue from that domain.

Regarding your website,

I entered a domain and only *then* I got asked for my email address to get the result.

In short, you get the domain that someone is interested in (could be unregistered) and also you will probably get an active email address for free.

Not cool imo.

To add to this, I would offer a free, simple analysis with no email required.

Something like:

Estimated Traffic: 100k / Month

Then provide a more detailed report if they enter their email.

Yes I get asked that question a bit and see it asked from others often enough that I went ahead and built this. Not as often as "is boost working for anyone?" these days but, you know

I agree that people with domains can use services to check analytics / parking revenue themselves but I see the question frequently enough that I assume this is not happening for most.

From my own shopping around, analytics is expensive (i am building another project in the ~hosting arena for myself that I hope to add analytics too one day). There is frequently a cost for additional services and putting it on a parking service may not be practical just for testing especially if we're looking at an entire portfolio of names I guess?

Regarding your comments on the site, I appreciate the bluntness. I have no intention of using this tool to find names people are looking for and snake them.

I just added related keywords yesterday and increased the output # of lines for each to 10 yesterday. This new data is not necessarily accessible for free, easily (my experience).

I don't need them obviously but there's a cost associated with operating the website and the alternative would be to try to package it and sell as a product to offset this cost which seemed like a dead end here to me. I'm already competing with larger companies in my business I don't need to try to take on AHrefs on a pet project haha.

It's probably not a profitable standalone product and probably never will be, so I figured asking for an email was a fair price for getting the entire report for free and me not capping usage.

If i gated the entire thing behind a login screen requiring email/password to sign up it'd be (functionally) no different, right?

Honestly asking for email after each submission is annoying I will probably try to remove that so it just asks on the first visit...

unless you can clone overture tool and it's results, then estimates can't be reliable.
