Ok, I am considering buying an already developed arcade site, but I am also considering just getting a decent gaming layout that I can install an arcade script into.

Thats a nice site, but again, its held to being only a game site. I am looking for something where I can have an original site....original gaming site...xbox...etc...and still have the gaming script implemented into my design.

I'm using gamescript.net and can vouch that it's a very well-written and customizeable program.

I have been using it on www.ArcadeMob.com and made many changes and modifications to it.

Yes, the gamescript.net one is very generic, but its easily customizable. Just have some faith, I think it will be good for you. An example is my site www.ArcadeCabin.com

Cobalt if you're looking for custom design and script modification on GameScript, I can do that. You'll have to pay a GameScript licence anyway. I've done a lot of modification for GameScript owner and I know very well the script now. If you want to design and/or include template, PM me for quote.

Pages are automatically generated with keywords in title, keywords on page and h1, and in description. Title specific urls such as http://www.facko.com/2100/zed-the-android
Benefits of the script:
All automated, integrates with vbulletin as well.
Pages are using proper linking creating high serp placement. Search for any of the pages titles in msn for example and it will rank in the top 30. Facko.com hardcore midgets for instance ranks #1 for midgets out of 2,221,097 results. Works great

As everyone else is giving their example I also want to give mine.

It's a new one and using GameScript. I made made some major modifications to it and you can pretty much change what you want.

Tomorrow I will install the rating system and inegrate the tell-a-friend script and after that it is pretty much finished.

Hey,
I'm John from GameScript.
Just wanted to apologise for the demo being unavailable.
The site has been moved between servers and that is the reason it was temporarily down.

A few users have mentioned about GameScript being generic, a new version will available soon that will make it even easier to create your own style and upload others.

As you have already seen, GameScript has been used on some large sites that are getting huge amounts of traffic, it is more than capable of dealing any a large number of simultaneous users.

Cobalt, have you ever thought about just writing your own script? Thats what I did for my site http://www.gameworldx.com. I had no php knowlegde before coding this site. I learned it as I went along. In the end you will have a coded site and some knowledge on how to code with PHP

I might, I know some php, but I am learning as we speak...literally...I even have my own book

I just want some more feedback

I don't have an exact ETA yet but I would say 2-3 days.
Just waiting to hear back from the main programmer and I will know for sure.

i think the best script is phparcadescript. I use it at www.OnlineFlashGamez.com check it out. and its only $25

I like it a lot more than the gamescript and playcms becuase it accually has categories and put them on seperate pages so that all the games aren't listed on one page.

In the latest version
Also allowsyou to specify the number of games from each category you would like on the main page.
So you can specify that you wanted 4 games from each category on the index page (Home page) then a link to show all games from that specific category.
