Looking For a WYSIWYG File Editor Script

Sometimes when I am away from home, I don't have any html editors, and sometimes notepad just doesn't cut it. I am aware that there is an html editor in cPanel, but I think it's trash. When I need to move quickly from design to code, it turns out that all the php is gone or whatnot.

Is there a better script out there that enables me to edit files online easier, WITHOUT it messing up the php (or other language) code?

Thanks.

Why not use word?!? 2000 and better offers an option for html coding....it will ask for the disk when you first attempt to use this feature.

I have a lot of good things about swiftedit V2 but I think you have to pay for it :(
Search google for online WYSIWYG there are tons of them.

Well, that's a good idea, but if I'm away from home, I'm not going to carry around my CD to people's houses.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway. Does anyone know of a script like this?

Thanks.

swiftedit is an online editor, you use it from your site ;)

I would not suggest using them....because they all, or at least the ones I have tried, break your code in some way.

Removing things you don't want removed, and they also have a tendency to add extra line breaks all over the place making your layout no longer work.

I would just use notepad to edit your code, and try and learn how your site works without the WYSIWYG editor
