What do you think about the name? Any value?

Long Range Drone would probably be the best alternative but I was a bit surprised that I found this still available.

Appreciate answers!

.com good

plural better (you didn't put plural in your maybe better comment)

Drones are a new industry so you might get some action

Since it's a triple combo, nothing huge, but, it does fit a niche of that new industry

I would expect end users to pay easily strong 4 figures and maybe low 5 for it since if they have a drone company and a LD Drone, it could be an asset to such a company.

I just don't think most drone companies are well funded, so if a low 4 figure comes around, that could be all you end up with, definitely a nice .com hand reg

Congrats

Thanks, I appreciate that. I was hoping for mid or high $XXX so that sounds good.

Some just don't like .com
The fact it is an emerging industry and a type of product in that new industry and in the .com tld, means it has value
Yet some that think whatever.tld is all there is now, hate it
It's a decent .com for a new industry, definitely worth more than reg fees and it could find a buyer within a year or two easily
IMO

I don't see any value in it. What does it mean? A drone that can travel a long distance. Is that desirable? Shouldn't they always be in your sight?

In any event, with it being singular it would only refer to one drone.

You might be right. A long distance drone might only be desirable by smugglers, who knows.
I have never flown a drone so I don't know, there are drones with cameras and if you could fly longer distances with a camera that might be useful.

Thank you for questioning me!

Drones can be programmable, so a company with a LD Drone would want singular for such a product.

US Military has LD Drones, and while the public has been given inexpensive drones so far that don't have much in the way of power, I can see a future generation of private drones that are long distance.

Consumer drones and commercial use drones is a new industry and light commercial drones could very well be designed so long distance becomes a product term if not an industry term.

This was a great forward looking domain registration, it is not for speculators but it's a nice drone term that could have products soon, if they don't exist already.

Bezo's was talking not long ago about drones leaving his warehouses and doing air drops, they would have to be long distance drones guided by GPS and computers.

You may very well see the skies filled with drones soon.

Great registration but very limited potential for who can have a product to use it.

Commercial use drones will definitely be long distance, IMO.

A term like Delivery Drone is registered deep in all the main tlds

So LONG DISTANCE is a nice solid reg

Don't know about the value, since i'm new to all this, but that's something that was typed in search bar many times.
Recently i was looking to buy that anti-al qaeda nuke-transporting super-cool device, and all of them (except those most expensive) had two problems - weak battery that gives you only 10 minutes of use, and short distance.
Just because of that short distance problem, there might be some bigger potential in year or two. It is expected that manufacturers will "fix" the short distance problem, and make that long distance drone. :xf.grin:
So in my newbie opinion, there should be some value in near future.

Military has had long distance drones for years

What you see in military often crosses over into commercial use in time

Drones right now are being targeted as cheap toys for cool stuff like cams and stuff, but the commercial use of them will happen and not too far off

I know for military and their super drones, but i don't think we will be able (allowed) to buy that kind of drones.
So when they make those small drones capable for long distance drive, they gonna call that "revolutionary" and so make them even more desirable.

Long Distance Drones are gonna cost a lot and be commercial use mostly for transportation

What you have now are toys for the public

Air Transport and Truck Transport are huge industries and soon commercial level drones will be doing most of it for one reason no labor

Robotics is coming and drones are part of it

Say you need a heart or lung sent to a hospital hundreds of miles away, it's a small cargo and right now it costs a fortune via helicopter or whatever, so that's gonna be the first type of commercial application for transport long distance drones

Then you have the application Bezos is promoting, light cargo drones to drop ship amazon items from factories

It's coming if humans last that long

@kunkka @idomainappraisal
Thanks guys for all input. I also think Long Distance Drones will be more used in the future, all though I think "Long Range" would be the best words for it. However, it's a $4 gamble..
