Lurk no more! Welcome Andre.

That's certainly ambitious. When I first started domaining, and not just developing, I bought 10 closeout domains for $150 and a few months later sold one fore $1500. Hopefully you picked one gem out of 47 that can get you on the right track.

Learn as much as you can and you will be profitable.

I recommend reading the NamePros Blog first. Lots of good information over there. :)

See you around!

Welcome :)

Unsure if the MJ legalization has spread to those areas (and in one, more acceptable), but give it time, and these may pay off. If this is your niche of expertise, study up on more popular words and phrases. Then, hand reg the domain names that catch your eye.

Thank you for the welcome

There's only medical registration for MJ in Georgia and Washington DC. Actually DC hands out MJ and Cannabis for free, which is weird. There are no dipensaries yet. So I probably should just hold on to them.

And I wish I could say I am a MJ domain investor, but nah, I don't have the capital, seems too speculative and I found out the legalmarijuanawashingtondc.com is too damn long, probably can't even get reg fee for it. I was going for keywords, but hey, live and learn.

But I will hold on my first two names though. ;)

Well, welcome to the forum.

To follow up, I haven't heard anything (as I am an American expat in Japan) about gay rights. If the Supreme Court can make it legal countrywide, don't you think MJ is possible within the next few years (as opposed to being ruled by the state)? :)

Gays can be married (technically) now, just there will be a lot of state law battles in the Red states.

I think MJ would be legal if the Supreme Court could stop the feds from blocking banks from handing out loans and etc to businesses. That's what they do in Colorado.

Growing weed is capital and labor intensive. If you wanna grow weed, you gonna need lights, water, seeds and space.

I think Hemp would be used more widely before MJ. I mean, I would sit on the MJ names if you are willing to eat reg. fee.I am just not in that position and I was gonna reg a whole bunch of them when I first started.

Actually while we talk about these MJ names, I found a dispensary that holds a MJ.com but redirects it to their business name. Would it be bad if I just reg all the generic names below the .com and told them I saw them having the .com and to prevent competition they should have all the names?

That would be an asshole thing to do right?
