Logo Needed! Its for a good cause

Hello next month I will be skateboarding all the way from Oregon to New York with four other guys. We are doing this trip for Cancer donations, more info can be found at www.skateacrossusa.com.

Anyway I need a logo made for the site. If anyone wants to throw something together for us it would be much appreciated. I do not have any money really but your name will go on the site and you will be helping a great cause.

If anyone lives in the areas we are passing through and wants to skate with us through your city, wed love that!

here is my quick draft.

the background was filled in with light blue because i didn't know the t-shirt color. it can be easily changed as is the text font.

skateboarder images were created by Luke Roberts (free in the public domain)

Wow very impressive I really like it. The map, skateboarders and all, it ties very good together. If I had to change anything, maybe add some gloss?

can you clarify what "gloss" is?

do you want to make it more 3d or gradient?

Gloss as in shiny, reflection over the picture or font.

i gave you the flat print first because it will look identical in multiple mediums.


the bottom image here probably will not come out that good on a t-shirt, not to mention the extra printing cost.

Awesome cause, i'm actually located on the west coast, but, not a skateboard type. Seattle area I noticed someone was skateboarding from Marysville.
