The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
GoDaddyGoDaddy
Here are a couple of ideas. The second set can be adjusted to 215px x 55px exactly, while the first set would be slightly taller.

The third set are fav icons.

The logo is a "C" and "O" wrapped together.

Alternatively, here are some more simple logos similar to NamePros:

Jed K thank you for these contributions. I really like the direction you are taking with these, simple and effective.

I like the idea for the logo quite a bit and I wonder how it would look with more or less clarity or how I can make it look effective on its own. I am not sure if I like the one with the lighter blue or the darker blue on the circle.

I especially like the font used for the last set of logos. It is friendly and inviting. I am not a fan of the font on the first batch.

For revisions, did you have any ideas for the font on the last set applied to the first two sets? Will the last set that I like be able to be vector as well that I could transfer to paper print successful or apply to banners?

Thanks again for the contributions. These are definitely going to be the ones to beat.

Thanks for the great feedback. :tu:

I have made some revisions. The first set is the same as last time but with the font changed to the one you preferred. The second set is another concept where the "C" and "O" are a bit more distinguishable for use as a favicon, avatar, etc.

Everything is 100% vector, so you can transfer it to paper/print/banners without a problem.

JedK - Really like the contributions and am pretty confidant I will want the line "seo and web consulting" underneath the name. I'm not going to try to be Coke or Nike, just want to make sure visitors know what they are getting into when they visit. However I am really torn between which designs I like most. The third set in the first post are my favorite thus far, especially for the text and logo. What I was wondering was if there was a way to make the white and light blue work well with the logo, so that the white could be more distinguishable. I love the simplicity of these designs though.

Will7 - I am very intrigued by and attracted to your design. I would not have picked gray and red but am starting to be drawn to it. What about orange and grey? I love the font on this design. What about the logo in the front, I love the idea of the C and the O like that, separated by a symbol. Which inspired you for the arrow like that? Would you mind experimenting with other like symbols?

VirginArt - I also really like the font on this one and its simplicity. I am a bit confused with the logo though. It kind of reminds me of an ocean related or surfing company because I imagine waves. It might be better too to have the symbol in front of the text or integrated with it. I want my company to feel like a telecom or ISP company. It should feel like goofy internet and computer geeks work there.

Namanda - the different color in the two words is a really nice touch. I also like the idea of the logo in the first idea. The second reminds me too much of the fashion company Coach. But with the first one I get the impression of an cybereye or something futuristic which is pretty cool.

Thanks again guys for the contributions! These are great designs and great starts. I am really grateful for these.

Moving forward here are some suggestions to make it more clear of what I am looking for:

My target clientele are older folks, no teens and few twenty somethings. These are business owners with poor online sense. The logo needs to identify exactly what I do right away so that they are not too confused. I think 'web consulting' or 'internet consulting' works well. SEO too because they wonder what it is and are intrigued by something I can teach them. The font I think then is very important. It should be serious, easy to read, and easy on the eyes.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I was brainstorming and an arrow appeared most relevant to optimisation for me - some sketches later and managed to get a symbol coming through and there we go! Some revisions, though:

I'll try some other symbols later as well, this is just a quick one with some of the feedback you suggested. Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Thanks for the awesome feedback.

How do these look to you? I tried to make them look more distinguishable while still keeping the original design intact.

Hi,
When I'm visiting your website using Chrome browser, I'm getting a malware warning for content coming from hotlinking-prohibited.ru. So I can't see really the page. However, here is my suggestion inspired from by your guidelines and other designers' submissions -

Wow! Thanks again guys for all of the stellar reply's and work! Again in order of those who responded:

Will7 - This is very clean and very impressive. I thought I would try orange and gray because they say that orange is one of those friendly colors that produces leads and sales and I am really happy with the way it looks. What are designs did you have in mind for the symbol in the middle.

JedK - This is very much what I have been looking for. I am not sure what else can be done to improve. But I am very interested in the blue, two different colors, the simple symbol and the words beneath describing what the company does.

Catfish - This is very professional and is one of my favorites thus far. I never would have guessed I would like a green and blue. In addition I showed several other people and they agreed. My only question is why the design. Is it unique? What made you come up with it? How can it be convincingly applied to my services for web consulting and seo? I can kind of see the "C" and the "O" in it. Was that what you were working towards? Or does each dot represent a link or a new visitor?

VirginArt - I still enjoy the font but am really turned off by the logo. I am confused with what it would be portraying and I am not sure if fits well with just a black font.

Nodws - These logos are neat and a great way of getting everyone else, myself included on what the logo should be achieving. Is there anyway to improve the clarity of them? They appear quite grainy. It also might be worth attempting to implement the logo within a letter of the text or behind the text. What do you think of darkening the blue up a bit? It is a bit bright for sensitive eyes.

Gooddesigner - The font is very nice on the eyes and easy to read. The logo appears unique too aside from the person coming out of it. I do think those little people are a bit overdone. What is the idea behind the logo aside from the person? What is the message? I like the detail of it and it appears very unique. What else did you have in mind?

Kosvam - Sorry you have had that trouble. I have tried accessing it myself with no problems. Although the colors you have chosen look really interesting I cannot get into the design all that much. It reminds me of a diner or autoshop. What about symbols on the outside that would give off the impression of the internet or online work?

Did anyone else have the same problems as Kosvam with "hotlinkingprohibited.ru"? I have not seen it on my website but I have come across it in the past. If anyone knows of anyways to avoid it or get rid of it please let myself and the others know. They have wreaked havoc on another one of my websites in the past causing me to restart everything. Although I am early on with this one I do not want that problem again.

Another thing to keep in mind is I will need a favicon or a logo that works well by itself without the wording if I need to put together something without it.

Thanks again for all the contributions. I will have some friends and clients looking at these designs later in the week and look forward to some of their feedback as well.

hopkism,

The idea of using dots/circles to represent technology/cyber is not new by any means, I did however try to represent the C/O in the icon and tried to convey the "geeky tech" feeling. I have the dots going from small to larger for a "growth" feel, I felt like it also displays a process and linking factor as the out dots are more on some than the others..

I like green and blue in certain marks, especially tech and SEO marks.

"How can it be convincingly applied to my services for web consulting and seo?"

I feel the mark has good appeal and techieness..

Here are a few alternative symbols so that you have more of a choice. I can always change the font to the other one as well.
