Logo and button ad needed - $20

Hi all,

I need a talented logo designer for my site http://www.sharedbit.com
The theme of my site is peer-to-peer file sharing resources.

Wanted: (1) a 400x120 size site logo, and (2) 88x31 size button ad,
Prize: $20 via PayPal, and one site-wide PR4 text link for one month.

The contest winner will be announced on next Monday 12AM EST.[/B]
(If there are very few design entries, I may have to postpone it
one or two days).

I would like the design to be aesthetically pleasing, not so commercial looking.
Whoever comes up with the most beautiful design will be the winner.

I don't have a color preference. Please do not take the color
from our current site (which is just loading a default template)..
Since the name "shared bit" comes from p2p file sharing,
the logo should somehow reflect this theme.

If you want, you can add in the logo a short secondary text for our site
such as "the ultimate peer-to-peer file sharing resource", etc.
but you are very welcome to design your logo without any secondary text.

For the 88x31 size button ad, you probably want to use
a similar color tone that you use for the logo. not required though..

One thing about the button ad:
please leave a small empty spot in the left or right side
because I have to add a number to the button image dynamically.

This is nice design!
The earth icon inside the box is pretty intuitive,
and I like the small icons that represent shared types.
It would be nicer if you somehow filled the empty spot
on the right bottom corner..
Font could be developed more.

In fact, I like the other title font better (the one with black borders);
it is more readable and clearer.
I'm still not convinced about your choice of the people icon..
It would be nice if you replaced it something more appealing to teens
and computer related..

Okay, I've changed the people icon and removed the horizontal bar in 1 of them.

aha, you found a bigger font for the ext. nice, blacktoned!
Also the title now reads very well..
If that's not much, is it possible to add some color variation
in your logo?
having black and blue only looks slightly less exciting..
Not that I like really colorful logos..

The title font in the first version looks the best to me
except that the secondary text on the bottom is abit small..

Sure! I'll try someting.

the new colored version is better than the previous one,
but I think you could try something more creative use of colors in the
main text (e.g., shading, textile pattern, 3d effect, etc)
without hurting readability, cuz that's where the most attention goes.

anyway, I like your choice of light colors (instead of thick ones)..

Thanks for the feedback, here's an update:

I tried a few different color borders with these one along with blending effects for a slight 3D effect. Two main border colors are black which nestle the blue and white on the main text. Color choices used were just my preference but can be changed to whatever suits you.

hi guys,

After serious thought, I decided to choose the design made by blacktoned.

Sylense's latest update was really great too! Lots of time and efforts must have
been spent on the thoughtful design.
I also like graphicfizz's work, good choice of colors and icons.
Too bad guetizo couldn't make it to submit a revision..
You guys should all be proud of your designs!

It's just that blacktoned's simple but artistic design style appealed to me.
Just personal preference..
Let's congratulate our talented soul blacktoned on nailing down this contest!!
