Login/Register code/script

Hello
I'm working to update an Americas Army clan site. I need a code or script (whatever it takes) so people have to register to our site to be able to view most content.

Note! All I know is html a newbie at that!..lol.

Use a CMS, contant management system. PHP-nuke is popular for gaming websites, whilst mambo is more popular for business oriantated websites.

I'm sorry I don't know CMS, contant management system or php Nuke. I downloaded php Nuke but all to confusing to me. I'm still trying to learn html I would be willing to pay for help at a fare price (through pay pal only) ....Peace!

Does geocities allow PHP scripts?

I'll be glad to help you install it for free...the only problem is that your original site and template will be deleted, and you will have to add content all over again. The good side is that you can say what content can be viewed by which users, allow users to be approved by admin first, and such. They will also be sorted out more easily.

Yes, geocities Plus allows scripts. I'm assuming hes using geocities Plus because hes using his own domain.

these forums are not for programming actually... these forums are really for "DOMAINS" and sales of domains, and dev'd sites. This topic isnt really covered much here.

Are you looking for a subscription payment script? Will people need to pay to access certain parts of the site?

What types of files are you trying to control access to? Flash, mp3, images, videos, . . .?

What information will you be collecting from users? Name, location, age, likes, dislikes, . . .?

Will everyone that registers automatically be granted access or will you need to approve them first?

Answers to these questions and a few others will determine what you need and how much work will be required ($$) to get it done.
