What do you think about this one? There are about 15,000 monthly google searches for "lodge accommodation" and PPC competition seems to be pretty high (up to $1 per click).

I guess it's a bit long (18 chars), but it has real potential for monetization.

Your thoughts on value?

Too long, all wrong. Grace delete ASAP. IMO.

Disclaimer: Please keep in mind that this is a FREE appraisal. This is a guess at quick flip resale value not an unrealistic end-user price. Often times my appraisals are rushed, too low, or too high. Sometimes my advice is totally wrong and occasionally downright dumb. If the post stamp is after 5:00pm EST, the chances are even greater that inaccuracies will occur due to blood alcohol levels.

And what exactly do you mean by "all wrong"?

BTW, grace deletion period passed (I wouldn't delete even if it didn't).

Ah, nevermind, I get it.

If the post stamp is after 5:00pm EST, the chances are even greater that inaccuracies will occur due to blood alcohol levels.

Any opinions from sober domainers?

"lodge" tends to be a Canadian term so your market is therefore limited. I used to own a couple of domains similar to that will canadian connotations, and they received no interest at all. This is one of those names that begs to be developed somewhat to see if SE placement will earn some income. Tough market to break into in the hospitality industry, especially when focussed on Canadian establishments.

Thanks for the input, I didn't know "lodge" was Canadian term. But actually, this phrase seems to be quite popular in UK as well (about one third of monthly search volume is from UK).

I was thinking about developing and SEO optimizing as well, to see if I can break through google top 10 or so...

Search-based keyword tool

You have a great domain there, nvm micro he needs to sleep.

Companies are bidding over $1 for the exact term, and a few others. The domain you have is the exact keywords they want to pay $1 a pop for, so it would be an investment to them to buy your domain.

If you search for the end user, and go to the top, check the whois etc, you should get some interest and expect a $700+ sale.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I think I will rather go for developing and trying to get in top Google results than trying to reach end-users at this point.

For the term "lodge", 6 of the top 10 results are canadian lodges...so that should tell you something about popularity. Good luck with it. The "tourist lodge" is big business here in Canada.

Well, for me, most of top results are co.uk websites... And I'm in UK. Something tells me results have something to do with your current location :P

nice name.

If I were you:
I wouldnt sell for less than $150-200 at the forums.
wouldnt mind countering an offer @ marketplaces with a mid xxx figure.

for an end user, you need to decide the price ;)

Hi A;
On the google keyword tool when you're looking at search stats, there's a little drop-down choice-menu that says 'broad'; you need to click that and select 'exact', to find out the exact searches for a term. Broad means absolutely nothing and is inaccurate. The exact monthly google searches for your term are 880. Not that high; in my searches for names to build minisites around, I would have passed that one by.
It has unclear development potential as it's pretty vague. It would be hard to make a profitable amount of money off this one without major investment, in my Minisite-opinion. I also don't like it for both the length and typo-proneness of that second word, so many people spell it wrong so the searchers typing in the term will be all over the place with spelling, confusing the 2 c's and the 2 m's.

It does have some use but just not overwhelmingly attractive for an end user or a minisite, and as a parked name it will bring in close to zero.
Someone who's very interested in a lodge site might scoop out xx or low xxx if they really love it, but I just don't think you'd get a buyer for this one.

But, prove me wrong!
:)

Bannen,
thanks for letting me know, I had never noticed those "match type" settings before. 15k monthly searches seemed a bit high to me :\ Do you know what's the difference between "phrase" and "exact" matches?

Anyway, I will go for minisite and see if I can get any SE visits. This domain is freshly hand-regged and I have nothing to lose :)

Sorry, I dont see much value in this name. If you get high xx or low xxx, I would take the money quick.

I have had "accommodation' names in the past, and they ended up in the garbage, but develop it and see what happens.

Good luck
