LLLL.com free auction?

Heya

After the LLLL.com fest last night I thought I would suggest this idea as by the time most of the LLLL.coms were done with people were bored, was a bit silly if you ask me. Granted there were a couple of decent ones, but most were junk tbh, sorry for being so blunt.

So i thought it would be a good idea if we held an LLLL.com free auction where LLLL .coms, .nets & 3char domains etc were banned.

I agree some what. I think we should only allow a certain amount because I agree, last night was LLLL's all over the place.

Perhaps a keyword domain auction - domains that actually include words or mean something

i think mabye a themed auction once a month. and maybe a "normal" auction everymonth. or mabye some type of prebidding minimum, if if your domain doesn't go above $50 in pre bids, it won't be live auctioned.

I like the idea of a site auction morph, we've never had one before allthough sites occasionaly come up for auction, I think it would be very popular, who says it has to be just domains all the time?

Great Idea for a themed auction.
That way people would know what range we are dealing with in the auction.
If its a high price auction, interested people would come. Right now there are too many variations in quality / price of domains being sold. Some buyers just dont take it too seriously if they are just interested in on edomain and have to wait out a long queue.
If its a themed thing, people know there wont be just one or two domains they would be interested in.

Good idea about having a non-LLLL auction. One of the good ol' NP auctions would be great

i was thinking the exact same thing once i saw all the "Short" Domains people were trying to auction off. In the next auction, IMO, i would like to see pretty much anything except the "Short" domains. Themed auctions are cool but regular auctions would be better because of the variety.
