LL.COM or NN.COM???

Ok, if you had a choice between a 2 LETTER .COM (LL.COM) and a 2 NUMBER .COM (NN.COM)...which one would you take? (i.e., which one is REALLY more valuable?)

NN.com are much more rare and hard to find, but you're more likely to find a high paying end-user for an LL.com. Depends on the combo of course. 88 vs. zq, the choice would be clear for me.

Apparently, there are MUCH lesser NN .coms than LL .coms. So that would make NN .coms very valuable when compared to LL .coms (which are damn valuable themselves).

I would prefer NN .com over LL .com. Not all LL .coms are easily rememberable. But all NN .coms are easily rememberable IMHO.

There's only 100 NN's versus 676 LL's. Still I'd probably take the LL.

Just remember:

LL VS NN ~ 7:1 ratio
LLL VS NNN ~ 17:1 ratio
LLLL VS NNNN ~ 47:1 ratio
LLLLL VS NNNNN ~ 119:1 ratio
(As the number of characters increases, numbers become more attractive over letters)

LL is a little bit better but there are some very good NN combinations that are better than most LL combinations.

just like someone else said, it all depends on what the LL or NN is. I would much rather own 69.com than qj.com. I would also rather have a LL thats a word such as Go.com than a random NN such as 12.com.

Again its not all about quantity, nobody cares whether there are more LL than NN. Its all about quality.

NN.com without any doubt at all. If you look at the stats for scarcity vs prominence in the Alexa Top 500, NN.com blows LL.com away by a factor of almost 5x.

Ok, since I have an "opportunity" to get either a LL.COM or NN.COM...the thing is, the guy with the NN.COM is willing to work a much better "deal" than the LL.COM...so I don't know whether to "hold off" and get the LL.COM or just go ahead and get the NN.COM???

i'd take the one that fits better in your budget. both domains are extremely valuable, but who am i telling that. you're drowning in kickass names as it is
i'd go with the LL.com out of the simple fact that unless the LL.com has a distinct relation to a product of any sort, the LL.com can ALWAYS stand for something. Of course, there are not as many LL.coms as there are NN.com which makes the deal all the more sweet. Unless its 69.com or any 55.com/66.com etc. the LL deal is always the better one. :imho:

I'd choose NN.

-The numbers are the same in almost all languages, so it could be somewhat of a global site.
-There are less NN than LL, making it more valuable
-People remember numbers better than letters, especially if it's random and doesn't mean anything
-Numbers can stand for far more things than letters. Yes, there are acronyms, but let's say your name was 12, it could be for Tom Brady, which would be better than TB for Tom Brady
