I would like to know more about the technical issues for setting up a live chat site... Do you know a good place to learn more about this?

-Hosting minimum technical requirements?
-Recommended hosts?
-Good scripts available? (at a reasonable price)
-What are the "must have" features that makes the difference
-Marketing techniques to promote this kind of site?

If you look in cPanel (if you have it) then you can install some from there.
I know there is flashchat Which I have used. I'm not sure the price but I would recomend it too you.

you can look at parachat.com, I know the guys that owe it. It is one of the oldest chat sites.
