Hello everyone,


With full pride i announce the official website for the (unofficial) domain auctions.

This system is somewhat advanced and still improving it.
If you have any suggestions to add let me know.

The system is very easy to use.

All you have todo is the following:

visit http://www.npgeek.com

add domain
enter your correct username! including capitals, underscores. otherwise you might get in trouble
enter domain info
what auction date you want it to be held ( official or unofficial )

submit, and you get your tracking number:

with the tracking number you can later on EDIT / DELETE your domain ! When its NOT SOLD yet.

You can only add 1 domain per username. Due to the max limit of 50.
why 50 ? Because when auctioning 50 domains it already uses a couple of hours.
If you add a "fake" name. the domain gets deleted from the list.
So play fair.

Got domain packages? Enter the domain names with a comma seprated!

For future versions, maybe add a section for "comments" about the domain. Like, "It gets XXX traffic" or "XXX overture w/ extension".

Thank you all for your positive replies and suggestions. if you have any new ideas of improving the system let me know. Sunday i will be working real hard on it and monday it gets integrated with NP.

Ideas... I like the idea to include "comments" with the name about traffic, screenshots, etc.
Also about it's meaning so we don't get the typical "What does that stand for" line , or the "Are ______ domains valuable?" (w00t!)

Anyhow, great work thus far, looking forward to el integrationo.

I a spent almos half an hour in the chat at NP boring anyone by asking how to submit site for auction and then I found this thread.

also there was somen talking about npgeek....I thought it was for auction, since I entered the room late......

www.npgeek.com allows you to add domains for the auction yeah

later on we are going to make some schedules of when we are starting unofficial auctions . on a weekly basis!

for the sw side of the system I don't know but as it went my experience with the auction rules I get scary to participate anymore, and of course I am disappointed with that since I like the idea so much.
My experience was that I ut a nice name on auction and thought to realize near 15/20$ (Ok this is arbitrary but I think a good name can't go less than the registration fee , is not that an auction is a way to sell at wathever price unused or unwanted items even under cost just instead to throw them in the cantrash...., .I think at it like a free ownership exchange market, convenient for both the parts and from where the market start to fix real prices ...if I am not wrong, if I am just correct me please)

It happen that I saw my name sold for 35NPS (! I would had preferred to give it for donation at this conditons)and see that same name after few hours traded again at higher price I guess...that's not a good feel, isn't?

I suggest that
1) possibility for the seller to estabilsh a minimum asking price

pls don't missunderstand me I am not complaining, just expose some fact to be considered and hoping in helping make things go even more better.
Keep on working, you're so far the best. IMHO

I am not talking about a reserve price but a minimum "declared before" asking price (reserve is secret and I dont' like it too)
IMHO it is a good way to make the auction even more interesting.

ps: when there is a reserve for a domain then its not interesting:
ex:
reserve is 999 np$

the bidding goes up to 800 np$

then they seller wont sell it and the buyer doesnt get anything. Waste of the time used
