I am constantly around bands, and their fans are always like... "Can we hear your music?" I was thinking - if there was a central location for bands to put their music on the web.... and with an easy to remember name... Maybe it has been done...
But wouldn't it be easy for a drummer to tell a fan/groupie..... "Go to Listen To My Band .com" or "Go to Listen To Our Band .com" ?

I haven't visited MySpace.com, (I'm probably a little to old) but from what I hear this is 'The Place' on the web, for up and coming bands.

I would take a look at the site and contact some of the up and coming bands to see if you can make a deal.

Another idea is to make a variation of The Million Dollar Home Page.

New bands could buy pixel space displaying a media player link for people to listen to their tune. If people like the song they could then download the bands other songs for a fee, thus the band has the opportunity to get their pixel purchase funds back and expose themselves.

Again, I think MySpace.com would be the way to promote this, if it was a success I'm sure you could get Rolling Stone to run an article on it.
