Is linking to a warez website or a song in another website illigal? cuz i heard it is buh still alot of pplz do it openly

thats what i would like to know too, i know hosting it is illegal, but if the place hosting it gives you permission to link to there files, is that allowed? your not exactly hosting ????

im not sure, but i know you cannot link to a song from another site without the proper permission.

Well first you'll be using up there bandwidth and 2nd its still illegal content.
Even though its hosted elsewhere.

yes it is illigal content but would u get sued for linking? u r not hosting it...they r the one who will be hosting tht illigal content

Because, the original hoster is the person in the wrong. But, because you were found to be linking to that site, this could be seen as assisting and encouraging the culprit and so you could get in trouble.

The songs are copyrighted material, at the end of the day. Anyone found to be linking to or hosting that content, should, in my opinion be held responsible for their actions!
