Our link popularity checker enables you to enter a list of domain names that will check their link popularity in several major search engines including Google, HotBot / Inktomi, MSN, and Yahoo. Link popularity is the amount of web pages in each search engine index that currently link to a specified domain name. The more link popularity a website has the better it would be ranked by search engines, you can also estimate the amount of visitors a website gets from its link popularity. For market research purposes you can also view the sites that may be referring traffic to you and find out what websites your competitors are linking too.

The script costs only $29.95 :D

Check out http://www.checkurl.info/us/tools/link_popularity_checker.htm for more info.

How fast is it? How many domains can one instance of the program check all 4 search engines in one minute?

Is there any risk my a search engine would ban my ip?

Is there much strain on the CPU or memory?

Thanks

Re: Performance
In my opinion it is quite quick (quicker than any other scripts I have tried), but I'm being honest, its not quite as quick as MarketLeap as they use a completely different programming language. You can check out the demo and see for yourself. All the data is gathered real time.

I also have another demo which is limited to 1 domain located at http://www.checkurl.info/tools/linkpop_demo.php

Re: Search engines and IP
Search engines will only ban your IP if you use it excessively (like check huge lists like 500+ domains everyday and in one process). If you have huge lists, I would recommend splitting them down to like 50 and running them one after another instead all at once.
There is little chance that AllTheWeb and Google will ban your IP, as I have coded my script in a way so that Google and AllTheWeb think a user using a browser is querying their database. This slows down the process by mili-seconds, however its safer.

Re: CPU usage
Good question, I haven't looked at that yet. I will gather statistics and post it on the website.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. :)
