Do you have any odd names that you think are cool, but can't market them? Names that you would like to have, but can't justify their costs? Well here's your chance to pick up some COMs at give-away prices.

United Domains is offering COM registrations for 1 Euro (approximately $1.30).
This special is good until Novemeber 31, 2006.

Here's the deal, united-domains.de, the Registrar that registers domains for Yahoo.de, is offering COM registrations for 1 Euro. Each customer account is allowed to register 10 domain names. More accounts means more domains. If you get caught, be advised. You'll have to pay full price. So, don't do anything you can't afford.

Things you need to know!!

There are no hidden costs. For 10 Euro, you'll get 10 domains. Unfortunately, however, United-Domains.de website isn't the most user friendly on Earth. Standard features available at other companies are not present here. If you are one of those lame people that can't follow instructions and would rather complain the adapt, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. Seriously, if you use this link and then bitch later, I'll just say I told you so. If you are problem prone, let the nice people at GoDaddy help you.

For everyone else...

United Domains has two major problems:

1) They do business in German. (They do speak English and they have good customer service. If you write to them in English about a problem, they'll write back in English. As far as response goes, they are fairly quick (less than 48 hours)]

2) Every change must be done through Fax or Letter (as is often the case with German companies).

If these two situations, are okay for you: Great. If you can't speak German, I've added a sort of 11 step plan on how to get you through the German language registration process. (It is important to note that a lot of people are doing this. Twice so far, they've had connection problems. If you get a bunch of red messages between step 7 and step 8 claiming connection issues, you'll have to try again later.)

1) Go to https://www.united-domains.de/

2) Create an account by clicking on (upper left of website): "Kostenlos anmelden" directly under "einloggen" button. (Kostenlos means free. Anmelden means register/report. Einloggen is login.)

3) Fill out the form. Vorname is first name, Nachname is last name; Straße is street; PLZ is Zip Code; Ort is City. You have to click the checkbox.

Then click on "Weiter," which in this case means continue. Abbrechen is cancel. Don't click Abbrechen.

4) You'll be sent to a confirmation page. If your data is correct, click the button to the right, "Anmeldung Abschließen," which means finished registration. if you made a mistake, use the button, "Adressdaten Ändern" to the left and reedit your data.

5)If you see, "Ihre Anmeldung war erfolgreich!" then your registration was successful. If you don't, I'm not sure why. It always works with me, so please try again.

6)Now, you are in your account and can proceed directly to registration. To get the special, click on "Angebot" in the top navigation bar. You'll be presented with a list of gTLD & ccTLD options. In the top group of 10, Com is listed at 1 Euro. Next to the extension COM is a little blue picture of an "I" (which stands for information is German). Click on that picture.

7) Now you should be at the Registration page. In the text field you can put in 10 names. If you put in more than ten, you'll be charged 12 Euro later (even if the price shows 1 Euro). The first ten cost, 1 Euro per name; all additional domains, 12 Euro per name. Check on their availability somewhere else and then put in ten domains exactly. Then Click: Domain-Suche starten (Start domain search).

8) I am assuming you picked out ten available names. You'll be taken to the next screen, there you must click on the button, "Ausgewälte Domain(s) registreiren" (Which means: register choosen domain names.)

9) Now you're at payment and your almost finished. Add your credit card information and click, "Bestellung forsetzen," (Continue Order).

10) Then wait until the process is finished. If you break off early, you're screwed. Please start again.

11) Afterward, you'll need to go to your email address. United Domains will send you your password and login information (meaning use a real email address).

That's it.

Warning! If you try to trick them and register multiple domains, and you get caught, you'll have to pay the 12 Euro price or they'll delete them. I know. I lost $400 that way last year. (That's called learning by error. Ha) So be cool and don't rip them off.
