Below is the template for introducing yourself. My first attempt was censored. Sorry.
    Lets try this again.

    What’s your name?
    A: AEHageman

    Where do you live?
    A: in my body

    What’s your level of expertise?
    novice, intermediate, expert, etc.
    A: expert squared

How much experience do you have in the domain industry?
    years, experience, etc.
A: 20 years, Started actually domaining in 1997 with my site DomainSecure.com. If selling domains and building websites is considered domaining, then I was doing this in 1995. $1400 got you a ten page site, hosting and a domain name for a year.

What would you like to specifically learn first?
how to buy a domain, domain history, best selling strategies, government policies, etc.
A: How to use a forum without getting censored.

Are you currently working on any projects or ideas?
A: yes, many I would say more but my post might get censored again.

What are your short-term goals in the next year?
A: break $1million in domain sales

What are your long-term goals in the next 5 years?
A: retire and have my son take over

What was your first domain you purchased?
    A:NUDE.com 1995

Why did you start investing in domains? Please tell us the story.
A: I told this story before and my post was moved to another area of the site.
Your thread SecureYour.com with DomainSecure.com because YourBusinessNeedsA.com was moved to a different forum. Reason: self promotional advertisment
You can read it here.I am not allowed to post links in this thread, even to this site.

    2. Networking Template Continued - Experienced

What domain tech do you most want evolved?
parking, marketplaces, news, analytics, registrars, etc.
    A: subdomains (its a secret.)

Do you have any predictions for coming trends?
A: Personal search engines will end the reign of Google.

What do you enjoy most about domaining?
A: The money that allows me to raise my children and work from home in my pajamas.

Do you have any predictions for where the entire domain industry is going?
    A: yes, (another secret.)

    What’s your funniest domain story?
A: I bought the domain name ILovetheSausage.com for my client that sells sausage.. She did not see the humor in it,nor would she use the domain. I used her affiliate program and the domain, until she found out. Even though it was the majority of her sausage sales, she asked me to stop using it to point to her site. I tried to remove the spoon, but no luck.

What would you like to delegate most when you’re domaining?
parsing domains, monitoring auctions, data mining, etc.
A: Talking to people about buying or selling domains. If I could sell without the need to talk to idiots and people with no money or vision.

What significant industry changes have affected you?
A: Google's change of the EMD in SERPS. Google canceling the Google domains program. (Was that what it was called?) and oh yeah Google.

This is what I do and who I am.. Until recently I have had no need to drag myself into forums to sell domains, advertise anything. You can thank Google and the new gTLDs for my presence.
Read my self promotional advertising post for more information and to learn WHO I really am..

I paid $1000 to the company to register the domain and it included the first years hosting.
I had no idea what I was doing, nor did they. At the end of the second year they charged me $1400 for the year in hosting as the site was a bandwidth and server hog. That is when I started my own hosting company.
DS1s were only $3k in my area and a server cost me about $1500. (DYI server)
If I remember correctly the yearly registration was either $100 per year or $75 per with a two year minimum. in 1995.
Soon after it went to $50 with a two year, then $25 with a two year, then pretty much to were we are now.
I pay just over $8 for domains per year.

    Actually I have been!
I wrote a book once in 1990.. While at work. They took it from me and disciplined me for writing while at work.
Almost 4 years later my book came out as the movie, Fire In the Sky
    imdb .com /title /tt0106912/
I am not saying someone stole my book and it became a movie. I am just saying, the movie is almost exactly my book. My book was written from my experiences.

I have since moved to an Alien no fly zone and they have not visited me since.

If you are a domainer, why are you using Godaddy and not your own service?
Check out Domainsecure.net. I have the price set as low as GD will let me.
