Sooner the better on dates as flights are normally cheaper booked in advance.
I think Finster would have to travel just as far as I would. Perhaps he might also like to bring along Jim and Joel and Claude and Brian and Lance and.... well, loads of others from the West Coast.
Obviously, Chicago is not too far from New York, Philadelphia, Detroit and Washington. And I know from personal experience that there are direct flights to the Windy City from Florida, Hawaii, Texas and Canada.
I think this meeting might actually be useful. Perhaps a firm date and some commitment from others might help get this off the ground.
Even if the date has to be moved to October or November so everyone can get enough time to prepare. I'd rather see more of the people here at a meeting than less.
Ad I'm sure there would be more Europeans if we could also see more tangible benefits of meeting. Affiliates idea great - what more could we add?

As for flights, I will start researching them.
I have been playing around with Bing's Airfare Price Checker from multiple cities to see what weekend would actually work out to be the lowest airfares, and haven't come up with a concrete conclusion as of yet. I will call a travel agent tomorrow...
if Travel Agents even still exist??? lol
As for the additional possibilities of what to add, I like to think of it as very similar to a WordPress WordCamp I attended last weekend. Lots of info that was incredibly useful...affiliate Ad's and Affiliate Companies, SEO Tips and Tricks, Digital Media Ideas, Social Networking Tips and Tricks, etc. I have met people in all of these fields who are willing to be a part of this. Actually a couple of people want to Incorporate this into a Convention of their people also, since choosing the perfect domain is such an integral part of the whole plan.
And, I have something pretty cool up my sleeve, (Yes It is PG Rated and very appropriate!)
I just received confirmation a coupla hours ago, that what I wanted to plan IS very possible, so I just need a couple of days to hammer out the details, and it should become very enticing to many more.
