Purchased LAWYE.RS years ago with the intent of building out a law firm directory and lead gen site. Due to other projects and ventures it has sat idle.

Out of pure curiosity, I'd love to hear what others think it might be worth. Still might do that directory down the line, hence the reason we have been sitting on it.

Super brandable.

now, it is fact that it should be pretty modern, progressive and up to date lawyer company who would utilize this domain..but I can imagine it. Your intention of building up a directory seems more feasible, and actually it can work great.

I would get in touch with some media agencies probably. If someone likes the idea, it can fetch low XX XXX imo. If you have good project, contacts, vision, etc with it, it will only increase a value for end user.

Yeah, pointless to sell unless some tech-savvy firm that was willing to drop XX,XXX to snag it.

Long-term, a directory and lead gen model will produce far more rev.

Another idea is to start a little bit of development (just some basic features, not too much, and nice design), and present the idea this way..if people can visualize where this can lead, they are much more prone to spend the money

As for value, based on previous sales, I would say it could sell for between $250-$2000 reseller and perhaps ten times that amount for a (very) motivated end user.

The only further observation I will make here is that you are virtually compelled to develop lawye.rs as a lead-gen or directory style site, as I don't believe that a firm of lawyers would want it, even as a trophy of sorts...

No. A high-level course to help them dominate local and national media. Then taking the exposure and leveraging it to attract more clients/cases.
