State Domains are big search terms usually, although it's the best 'state' of the 50 in USA.
People rarely even search for a city now since SE's show results on IP instantly, so 10 years ago geo EMD's were okay for local development but now a geo EMD is death on Google without a fortune in development.

No one in LA searches for LA California and most don't even use LA now or Los Angeles.

Not even worth registering IMO, since it's a hyphen and no one will ever type it in if you try to brand anything on it.

So read some books on keywords written by guys/girls that actually made dough in domains and then you will see why my words say what I say.
