Kr-domains at 2nd level

Kr-domains at the second level will soon be available. Only registrants of third level kr-domains will be able to register second level kr-domains in the socalled "registrant sunrise period". You can order second level domains in the sunrise phase, if you have already a third level kr-domain.

Timetable:
Nov 21, 2006 - Jan 22, 2007 : current .kr(3rd level) registrant sunrise
Mar 28, 2007 - Apr 18, 2007 : land rush
Apr 19, 2007 - : real time general registration

Korean domains can officially only be registered by Korean inhabitants or companies. But ICANN authorized registrar Secura has found a way, that anybody can register Korean domains. Your datas are even published officially in the WHOIS as owner.

Actually North Korea has its own TLD: .kp. It's not used at present.
