The upcoming winter Olympics is being held in Korea in February, 2018.

The official Olympic site is: PyeongChang2018. I have read that people think the games site is PyeongYang2018 and, of course, PyeongYang is the capital of North Korea. People have heard of PyeongYang, but not PyeongChang. Confusing? That's why I think that many people - who want info about the games, hotel bookings. or want to buy souvenirs, T-Shirts, etc., etc. - will just google KoreaWinterGames.com

Awhile ago it was offered on MediaOptions for $ 10k, but no sale. I want to sell it. Value? Suggestions?

Many thanks.

It sounds good in principle but there’s almost no time left for a buyer to utilize it. The domain buyer would need to both already have some rights to sell something associated with these games and be ready to roll it out immediately on the ‘net.

I’ve gone from product conception to roll out of a physical product within six weeks but that was really rushing it on something where I had a precise vision of what I wanted to do, and it was targeted at a specific event that was some months away.

Perhaps rather than selling it try to find the appropriate existing vendor and rent it to them. Such a vendor might be able to relate to that better than entering into buying something so close to the event. Still, they’d need to somehow get the word out about this URL in order to benefit and time is running out. There’s not enough time for any vendor to assume that the site will be ingrained enough into any searches for people to know about the site absent advertising it.
