I would like a replacement such as best, smart or top

If you're a disciplined boss doing the job well compared to someone "kind", you'd be shocked to know they'll take the disciplined individual way more often, even if his / her "kind points" aren't so high. Of course, you can be incredibly kind and be great at the same time, but feel the priority of a boss is to be best, smart, top ...these are words that ring more truth and encouragement with an employers ears
