Maybe it's because you're targeting kids with your site, but i'm feeling a total sensory overload. The moving side bar is annoying to no end - for kids it's probably the next best thing behind chocolate cereal.
The main body is also a bit intense and the "nickelodeon" style logo could use some individuality as well. However, all this being said, this is coming from a domainer/evaluator that is heavily leaning towards clean cut, dark and glossy sites. For kids, your site is probably dead on - thus, Great Job!

The only thing that i'd suggest to really change is that the nav bar also gets some text description so the older kids that read the screen know where the navigation would lead.

Thanks for the review. Concerning the moving film strip, I really just wanted that to move when the mouse is rolled over it. It works like that if you roll your mouse over it, then off and it will stop (till you roll over it again). But as to why it animates from the start, I don't know. I'm using Flash.

Some changes have been made. I'm not going for annoying, and as I mentioned, the flash strip does stop (& I'm going to improve it)

I want the site to be cool, though. Any thoughts on how to do that?

the film starts as soon as i open the page, every time- then when i put the cursor over it- it did the start/stop thing-

is the site basically those 3 videos? i could find no actual links to more?

I played two videos and both had sounds competing with each other. You need to setup your flash file so that when someone clicks on a new video, the one already running stops.

I think it is a cute site, but, it is too busy with that film strip moving so fast. You may want to slow it down quite a bit, and wouldn't it be cool if instead of the film strip showing the same picture over and over, each frame would have a different picture.
