Karma's a bitch.

As the old saying goes, "Don't get mad, get even."

Stay tuned for more details.

By the way, MOST transgressions are not worth stewing over, but this one is a doozy, a spectacular breach between company and customer.

And I have found a way to exact an appropriate payback to two VERY BAD players in this industry.

I can't say much right now -- next week I'll be more specific.

Someone crossed the wrong person...

I'm slow to explode, but when I do...

Ka-Pow!!!

It's a long story, and I need to condense it.

Let's just say it started out personal, but, while digging and connecting the dots, it has become bigger than my just going off on a rant.

Just keep that popcorn at the ready.

A bit of a nugget for you.

"Domain Registrars โ€“ Adapt Or Die โ€“ Googleโ€™s Coming" ties in a bit with my story:

My story has to do with some of these companies -- registrars and their shell companies -- screwing customers, mostly end users, who often feel helpless and end up giving up their semi-premium domains (or domains that they have built up from the ground). Often, they end up registering another name, often at an equally bad registrar as they have just left.

Grrrr....

One company has messed with me -- fortunately, the domain in question isn't that important to me -- but I have had it with these a$$holes, especially after doing some further research and analyzing Whois records. The average end user has no idea how to interpret these records, but after seven years in this biz, I am fairly savvy (although I had to look up a few things, such as ASN, which, I have discovered, is a treasure trove of information).

So this story has morphed into a narrative that is less about my situation and more about what these companies do to "regular people" (not domainers).

It saddens me... Frankly, I was shocked. I can almost understand why some registrars dislike domainers so much, but to hold their hard-working small business owners in such contempt is just something that is beyond me.

I just believe that Google's entrance into the domain space COULD disrupt the domain industry big time... How, is not yet clear.

Please be patient. There is a story here, but its in bits and pieces right now.
