I just got a buyer on Sedo for my domain name DubaiRain.com.
I wanted to know what it's worth would be. I got a buyer who offered "more" than what I was asking for too!

I appraise this name on $50 and really not more, but my guess is that you got $300 for it
To be honest, I can not see any real connection between ''Dubai'' and ''Rain'', besides that it hardly rains in Dubai. In my opinion selling this name made you do already a very good job, congrats!

I don't want to "rain" on your parade (no pun intended) but you mention you "just got" a buyer on Sedo. So i presume a sale has not been finalised yet.
I hope you have a serious buyer on your end but i have to advise you it's very well possible the sale doesn't go through.

A lot of people where in the same situation as you and experience the sale not going through because the funds are never being transferred.

I hope you have a serious buyer on your end but you never know, you may be in for a dissapointment.
You have a sale when the money is transferred to your bank-account as of now it's still uncertain if you did not recieved the funds yet.

It's in the transfer stage at the moment but the name was for sale for 495US and the buyer offered 500 straight up! Howz that ey?

Did the other cases you encountered have problems contacting the bidder at the initial stages? My one did but then got a response from the bidder and completed his identification-form and is now awaiting the money to be paid to Sedo. This was yesterday so there's another 9 days to go.

The thing is many people recieve bids or even agree to a price and wait for the funds being transferred. But nothing happens.
It's sucks but it happens, therefor i would considder a domain being sold only if you really recieved the funds in your bank account or recieved a notice from Sedo that the funds are placed in Escrow.

I suspect you have a solid sale here Judging by the info Slaughterbeck provided.

The keywords "Dubai" and "Rain" i found at first glance also very odd since it hardly ever rains in Dubai
