I just launched MIXINTOOLS.com

I used a GoDaddy template as I don't understand a lot about website design.

Please provide constructive feedback.

Site is used to promote a card set for primary school teachers that I invented.

Phil,

for a GD "Site out of the box" this isn't even half bad.

Just a few things:

1, get the font size(s) to the same level throughout the entire site. Make a visual difference between headlines and content. It's especially visible in your
"Regrouping" area where "What is Cooperative Learning" has a different font size than "What is Heterogeneous Grouping". Unless one is more important than the other, i'd level them to the same size.
Your educational validation on the bottom: "Professor Roger T Johnstone from University of Minnesota says..." is practically invisible compared to the rest. It's one of the most important facts on your site, the proverbial customer testimonial. As such you should emphasize it.
The whole font situation reaches its pinnacle in the FAQ section where you're spacing everything differently. Different font sizes compared to the rest of your site, etc. Basically, achieve consistency throughout your site. In an organized learning environment, where your target group are teachers, you should demo the expected level of organization.

2, Work on a custom logo, something that represents your concept/project.

3, Text and validations are great, images speak more than 1000 words, though. You're severely lacking images throughout the entire site. Images of the items, kids and teachers,... basically, you're missing out on the associative factor.

4, Since you're targeting the social factor, you should give your clients/customers/user an opportunity to network and speak to one another. Maybe a message board or a blog like addition where users can talk about their experiences, provide new ideas or exchange opinions about existing ideas.

5, Work some on your copy writing. While it's not bad, it could be geared a little more towards marketing your project. Providing scientific reasoning is one angle, transitioning from science to sales is the angle that you're missing. As example: Contact us if interested. (In the Business Section) should be replaced by Ask us for more information. While this is seemingly an identical call to action, it's worded just a tad bit different and delivers the subtle yet reinforcing statement that if "asked" you'll "GET something" in return. Even if it's only information, you'll still receive something for following our call to action.

6, BTW, great project - outstanding idea. :)
