What’s your name?
A: I'd rather not say right now. Just call me CdnGuy.

Where do you live?
A: Canada

What’s your level of expertise?
novice, intermediate, expert, etc.
A: I'm a novice.

How much experience do you have in the domain industry?
years, experience, etc.
A: I've bought a few, but never sold. Always used them for projects.

What would you like to specifically learn first?
how to buy a domain, domain history, best selling strategies, government policies, etc.
A: I'd like to learn about selling domains. I don't think I'd become a pro domain trader, but I have some domains that may be useful to someone, and I could always use a few bucks. Who can't?

Are you currently working on any projects or ideas?
A: I've got about 20 .xyz domains that may be of interest in China, and a few that are two or three dictionary word .xyz domains. I may develop a few of these into full revenue generating sites, though.

What are your short-term goals in the next year?
A: To learn more about buying and selling domains.

What are your long-term goals in the next 5 years?
A: I'd like to supplement my income by $10,000 a year.

What was your first domain you purchased?
A: That'd be my first and last name in .com.

Why did you start investing in domains? Please tell us the story.
A: I just feel that .xyz TLD will catch on and become more valuable than .info, .co, and some of the other more popular ones, because it is so easy to remember. Just as easy as .com in my mind.

What domain technologies do you most want to see evolve the most?
parking, marketplaces, news, analytics, registrars, etc.
A: I'm not sure where everything is at, so I can't really say. I'd like to see services selling into the Asian market become more user-friendly for English-speakers.

Do you have any predictions for coming trends?
A: I think .xyz will build up over time. Only so many really memorable .com left, and .xyz is easier to remember than .org, .cc, and other big sellers. The Asian market will continue to grow, especially China. I expect the Arabic market to grow as well.

What do you enjoy most about domaining?
A: It can be an affordable way to speculate a bit.

Do you have any predictions for where the entire domain industry is going?
A: No idea. With the rate of change in technology and politics, I think it's not possible to make a prediction worthwhile.

What’s your funniest domain story?
A: I just registered abcdefghijklmnoqrstuv.xyz just so I could make a bad dad-joke site.

What would you like to delegate most when you’re domaining?
parsing domains, monitoring auctions, data mining, etc.
A: I still have more to learn before I can say.

What significant industry changes have affected you?
A: No idea.
