I just aquired GUNT.net, here is some info on the registration. Thoughts, appraisals, comments and questions welcomed. I plan on developing this domain.

I like to give people honest estimates. Here is my opinion. I always will want .com over a .net. The only time the .net's are valuable is when they are usually something catchy and one word domains. Most of the time .net's should not be purchased. Now..based on all this. The value of this domain is approximately $250. This is my opinion but i do believe you can get a sale for $250.

No matter what it means to any given individual....what matters is what the market will pay. I'd say low-mid $xx right now. Hold on to it.

I think it's important to be honest and helpful. spaziotravel.com is not worth more than reg fee! Why lie and say it's worth more? If that's worth more than any random word with travel i should go register now. Let's try to be honest and helpful and give people advice that they can use to buy better domains in the future. Let's face it...you won't be buying any worthwhile domains soon at registration cost.

thanks for the feedback. I also agree I would rather have a dot com vs a dot net. but if the dot com is taken and the dot net is available and the letters are great I'll buy the dot net. Everyone seems so anti dot net on many domain forums. I disagree, 4C dot nets with nice letters or interesting combinations of letters will eventually be worth good money. I'm taking a chance, I cant decide in 5 years to start buying 4C dot nets. They will all be gone by that time. I have to buy them now and hold.

On a side note, how much do you guys think LLAAA.com is worth? I paid reg fee.

I am not anti .net but .net has its limits and if you start buying domains that are 2 and 3 words that are .net's in my opinion it has a limit and even with time will run into a wall. .NET will always have limits.

LLAAA.COM - maybe $50-100 considering it apparently used to have traffic
Are you cash parking it? Maybe you'll be able to know if it's getting any traffic.

Reguarding .net's, 99% of the time I stick to buying 4 character dot nets with nice letters and letter combinations. I bought LLAAA.com back in the summer for reg fee, a month and a half later I sold it for $3,000. Not one person on a couple different domain forums gave it a higher appraisal than low $xxx, even with traffic. This is why I take appraisals with a grain of salt. I always appreciate all feedback, but 90% of the time people are way off with appraisals.

You got away with robbery. Keep in mind that just because one person pays a high value for a domain does not mean that's what the VALUE of it is.

Here's an example. Your last name may be valuable for you to own, but to me it's worthless. You may be willing to pay $50,000 that does not mean it's worth that price.

You can take anything you want with a grain of salt. But the fact of the matter is. Most appraisals done are generally in the same ballpark. You can keep waiting on that one person to buy it for much higher. But in general the appraisal price is generally the value of the domain.

Sorry to say, but i will not change my opinions of LLAAA.COM. $50-100. Anything higher is a stretch and $3000 is a scam.

Every single domain I ever sold was = too or greater than what I was asking for. I respect your opinion but disagree. If you own my last name in dot com or net and I wanted it I might be willing to pay much more than someone else, this is true. It's not up to me to coach someone buying a domain name. If I feel a name is worth a certain price and set it for $whatever and someone comes along and pays the asking price, why should I feel guilty or be treated as a scammer if someone like yourself feels the person was robbed? Hardly the case. You have no idea what the person intends to do with a domain he/she is buying. I never tell anyone what I plan on doing with a domain name I might be buying. I've bought domains cheap before, if I told the person why I wanted it or was looking for a certain letter combo and they knew this ahead of time the price would surely go up.

Just because it sold for that amount, doesn't mean it was worth that amount. Everyone over prices their domains. This is not new information. My initial point was it's not worth that amount. There's always a sucker though.

Regarding the name Gunt.net, this one is worth a maximum of $50. Gunt.de and Gunt.ch are two developed websites. GettaGunt.com happens to be the name of the website of some new age gun manufacturer. Perhaps these people might be interested. The age on the name also adds value (if it was never dropped, that is).

But as of today, pronounceable LLLL.nets have mostly been taken. Keeping that in mind, and the above mentioned reasons, this one is worth a max. of $50 in the reseller market (if lucky), $20-30 more likely.

I have sold a few nice CVCV.nets I registered for mid $xx a few weeks later. I am holding on to the others I have. They have risen in value, but are obviously behind the .coms. Only time will tell. Gunt.net $20-$70 now imho.

Gunt.com is good developed site.
Something like Gunt.com would have a min value of 4xxx. .nets are valued @ 10% of coms in general. Cant say that for LLLL.coms but its a factor which shows .nets only second to coms.

Well ! I would definitely value it at $2xx - 3xx. Maybe much more. No question about it!
