What do you guys think about the domain jkrowlin.com .

For your info;
J.K. RowlinG is the writer of the 'famous' Harry Potter Books and her website (jkrowling.com) had over 17 million visitors in the first week.
First day jkrowlin.com had over 200 unique visitors (sedo).

What do u guys think about this typo ?

I will have to say $0 - reg.fee

I'd be very careful... I know they're very tough on people that reg harry potter domains... what I am not sure of if that extends to the authors name... even as a typo... I'd look into that!

The name has value for the traffic it receives. Is it steady at the level you mentioned? If so, should be worth ~$300-500 on that alone.

One drawback though is that it could be a prime target for a UDRP. As Jennifer mentioned, Harry Potter names have been under dispute before.

I think Kaaskop means the value when it comes to sale.
I too have to agree that its a tough sale because of possible trademark(if any) issue.

Other than that, its a good source of income. Go with it, redirect it to Pay per click programs(since mostly kids will be viewing the site and no sale may occur).

Warner Bros wanted to close down all Harry Potter fan sites a few years ago. That stupid idea didn't work of course, but it clearly demonstrates their way of dealing with anything related to HP.
On the other hand, Mrs. Rowling is connected to WB only through movies, her book agent is Christopher Little.

My guess is if you point your domain to a PPC program as suggested by others, you should get some steady income and in my view they wouldn't even notice you registered this domain.
If I were you I wouldn't try to promote that I'm selling it because that might attract unwanted attention for you.

But search results need to be connected to Harry Potter, if you tried, for example, to point it to some adult site, I bet they'll be after you in no time and you might be in big trouble for serving pornography to children and for using J. K. Rowling's name nad Harry Potter for doing it.
