Hi everyone.

My name is Jeremy Padawer. I was very much involved in the early domain name rush - 1996-2000. In that time I purchased tens of generic terms and sold them all. My biggest sale was www.act.com in 2000.

I also operated domainappraiser.com and offered domain valuations from 1999-2001. I closed shop in 2001 to focus on other things.

I own my first name - jeremy.com. I often receive interest in the name, averaging 1 offer per week.

I'm curious... Jeremy was a top-25 boys name for almost 30 years (1970-2000). Most people named Jeremy are quite young. What do you think the value is today? What will the value be once some of these Jeremy's come into some cash! :)

This is a turn for me. I'm used to providing valuations!

Jeremy

Jeremy -

Smoking Domain name! I have no doubt that you will see a great return on your investment. I sincerely believe that in generic first or last names, you should seek out the end user! The bigger the deal you make of the domain being for sale, the more interest it can generate. I would think low/mid xx,xxx - Dont wait for the person to contact you.... get out there.

$25-35k range easy, and hopefully a lot more to a motivated end user.

Great name. Good luck with it!

Tend to agree with RJ though he may be a little high.

Depends on how patient you are.

Hello Jeremy,

I was the person whom recomended you post in this forum. I have been waiting and waiting to hear about this domain. I contacted you on EBAY about Jeremy.net. I am glad you took my advice and posted here! On this forum you will find tons of helpful people.

I bet you could easily high Xx,xxx if not Xxx,xxx. My guess @ least $150,000. Like you said, its one of the most popular boys names. Chances are there are many Rich Jeremy's out there. Not to mention the investors for such a popular name.

JUST REALIZE JASMIN.COM fetched $310,000

Good Luck with your names Jeremy.

To give you an idea of current offers... with no interest in selling and a site that I use for business and blogging purposes only, I've had several offers between $25K and $35K.

I think a $100K is going to come down the pipe at some point. I'll have to really consider that. It's the best single branding opportunity for an individual.

PS - To answer the PMs... I sold act.com for $500K.

Like I said... a lot of this game is about patience. Jeremy is an ok name.. top 25 is not saying a lot when it comes to names... huge dropoff after to 8-10 names....
still a good name. But I have always known a lot of people but only a handful of Jeremy's

Hope you do well.

I'd say your looking at 20k reseller, though we both know you're not going to bother with these guys

A motivated end user should surely put you into the upper XX,XXX within a few years, if you have the patience.

The key of course is not only "motivated" end user but "rich" as well.. I agree with the other valuations in the 25k to 35k range but I also agree someone may one day make a higher offer. Sadly, all the Jeremy's I know have about as much money as I do.. that and $1.25 will get you a cup of coffee. :)

I'd say around 50k for this domain. Since it has probably been registered for a while you could easily dump it on the market for that much right now. Find the right buyer and your golden for up to 100k.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep you updated!

My brother owns his name as well - www.randy.com

If you only knew some of the names I've let drop over the years.

OYE.

Luvely jubely :xf.love: There must be someone famous out there with the name jeremy - it has an overture result with extension of 501 so it gets a fair few searches.

Randy.com is a cracker too, I bet this is worth big bucks to someone in the adult business :hearts:
136 ovt with ext (does he get all the girls ?? :hehe: )

I bet you wish you stayed in the domain game - Have you got any more classic golden oldie Gems stashed away ?

Good Luck :gn: 's

In the UK probably the most famous "love him or hate him" is Jeremy Clarkson who is probably one of the most influential motor journalists in the world and has his own TV programme called Top Gear, although he knows everything about cars, he is not too keen on technology - but he is minted, so you never know! :)
