Will having an 'e' prefix to city name holds more value than 'i' prefix ?
No, I don't think so, but you're working within a trend, so you have to be willing to change your mind if the currents change around you. The e/i debate rages in the domaining community, with three, distinct camps.
Camp 1) e/i prefixes are leftover relics of the internet stone-age and you're much better off going with a web2 name, rather than prefixing a relevant keyword. They have little inherent value and whatever "value" they do have is amongst foolish domainers trading them amongst each other.
Camp 2) The I is trendy by contemporary standards, so the I is better
Camp 3) The E is established (E domain names have a lot of marketing dollars carving out that mindshare), thus better.
I very rarely acquire prefixed geo anymore- save for very large cities- but when I do, I go I, simply because "I" has the possessive quality to it that lends itself well with marketing a geo platform. Kinda like "MyChicago". With commercial products, I always choose E.
For some reason, people seem to really, really overvalue prefixed geo in spite of it regularly being available for reg fee- either that, or I'm undervaluing them as someone who owns a few of the better ones out there (iMumbai.com, iBogota.com are ones I've bought in the past few months- I have about a dozen or so really good ones, but I can't recall them all off the top of my head without checking my inventory list :D)
