Is WordPress the best option

for me. I am looking to make sites with fresh content that I add on a daily basis, mainly in the form of articles and tutorials. I want to be able to put pictures in the wordpress pages. I have tried to alter the default template a bit and I am having some trouble. Will adding affiliate links and adsense be difficult if I choose to do this? Is there just a blank wordpress template that you can alter? I see joomla being talked about a bit , but I think that may be too much for a person new to languages. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

You will find lots and lots of plugins to do the things that you have mentioned here.

I didn't really enjoy my experience with wordpress. There's a wordpress theme generator online that can make your job a lot easier if you want to personalize your template a bit.

WordPress is outstanding, and the plugins are free too.

Wordpress is the number one choice. However if you are a complete newbie to computers, Id suggest blogger :D

Haha, you got that right, Cicero! I had to abandon my wordpress account. I didn't like it at all. But Blogger's really cool, everything seems to fall into place nicely.

Another voice for Wordpress here, it's easily the best fit for what you want to do. WP does a great job of keeping in simple and offers a wide variety of plugins to take care of those other tasks.
