domain Is this woth anything??

I registered 11111111.net (8x1) today when I saw it avaliable. I did that just because many of the other tld's were taken. It's very rare, but does it mean it's valuable? Just for fun I checked how many numbers you had to add to find an avaliable .net, and it was 14!

I could really need some appraisals on this one because I havn't got any idea.

As far as I'm aware of, $0.00. Ask yourself who your market is with a domain like that; is there even a market for it? Will people remember how many one's are in the name? Forget about type-in traffic. Is there something related to the eight one's that will appear in a search engine?

Thanks for your opinion. That's what I thought too, but why would someone register 14x1.net? There's got to be a market for these domains somewhere since even 12x1.org and 13x1.info are taken?

12x1 is much easier to remember than a series of the same number. As imismo pointed out, remembering how many 1's to type is an issue. 12x1 could be the name of a band and it would be easy to remember.

I feel its ok to have a few "fun" domain names like 11111111.net but dont get carried away. The problem is lets say its worth 5 times reg fee to some one out there. Well it can easly take five years to get that sale which nets you no money. And that can be a best case sitiuation. Also if someone likes 8x1 they easly can like 9x1 too, or rather pay more to get 5x1
